There is so much more to yoga than just stretching, and sometimes that can be hard to get across in one class (or on one website!). Yoga philosophy is an embodied practice - its not something you can just read about; you need to experience and feel it yourself. So hopefully these introductory fact sheets can introduce you to some of the key classical philosophical ideas for you to ask questions, do your own research or go away and explore

The Gunas - Rajas
Rajas is one of the three Gunas. It represents activity, passion, movement and restlessness. It can help us feel more awake, alert and driven but too much at an inappropriate time or too much can lead to restlessness or a feeling of being wired.
